Each shutter panel is carefully checked and re-checked by eye during the manufacturing process to ensure the finest finish possible. The paint used by The New England range is a pre-catalysed spray paint which is quick drying, UV Stable, long-lasting and easy to handle and maintain once the shutters are fitted.

The S:CRAFT range use a high quality, proprietary paint system which has been developed specifically for S:CRAFT window shutters. Cheaper plantation shutters use cheaper paints and stains and utilise less coats. The factory uses 6 coats of either paint or stain and to ensure that the shutters supplied are less susceptible to fading and yellowing the final layer is UV protected.

Our painted shutters are made from American Tulipwood grown in the New England region of the Appalachian Mountains, FSC certified white teak from the Solomon islands and premium Paulownia, a sustainable hardwood harvested every 7-10 years.
